What are Turtleback Books?
Turtleback Books are pre-bound hardcover editions of books previously available only as paperbacks. Our high-quality binding significantly extends the life of the book, resulting in dramatic long-term cost savings.

Who needs Turtleback Books?
Turtleback Books are primarily intended for libraries and schools. Our durable bindings exceed Library Binding Institute standards and stand up to the heavy use associated with libraries and classrooms.

Who can buy from Turtleback Books?
We only sell to wholesalers and resellers serving the library and school markets. (Note: If you’re a librarian or teacher, ask your favorite distributor for Turtleback Books.)

What shipping costs will I incur when I order?
Shipping is always free with our 25-book minimum order.

How long will it take to receive my order?
In-stock items will ship within 48 hours of order placement. And we’ll complete your order in no more than two shipments in less than 45 days from date of order.

Whom do I talk to if I have questions about an order I’ve placed?

How did you decide which books to include in your catalog?
Our catalog is made up of over 20,000 of the most popular and frequently requested pre-bound titles. And it’s always being revised based on customer feedback.

What happens if one of the books I’ve purchased falls apart?
We’re happy to report that’s not likely. But just in case, all of our products are guaranteed for workmanship and quality of materials for the life of the book. If one of our products does not meet your expectation of quality, it will be replaced free of charge.

Is ordering with Turtleback Books difficult?
Absolutely not. We have full EDI (Electronic Data Interface) and ASN (Advanced Shipping Notification) capabilities to make ordering easy and efficient. And don’t forget about our Customer Service team. Part of their job is to make your experience with Turtleback Books painless and pleasant.

What if I need a pre-bound book that is not on your title list?
Call us. We have the ability to bind virtually any paperback book in print. We’d be happy to help you decide whether getting the book from us is your best option.

Will you stock titles that I need?
There’s a good chance we will. Our title list has been built based on the needs and buying trends of our customers. If there are books you know you need on a regular basis, let us know and we’d be happy to stock them.

I know the Turtleback name, but haven’t heard it in a while. Is this a new company?
Turtleback Books has recently been reintroduced as a division of San Val, Inc., a highly regarded pre-binder with over 45 years of binding experience. We’re very excited about this new chapter in our history and we look forward to earning a reputation as the best resource for pre-bound books.

Can Turtleback Books be returned?
Under certain circumstances, yes, they can. While there is no restocking fee for returned products, there are restrictions regarding purchase date, purchase price and condition of books. Please contact us for the details of our Return Policy.

Do you have any allowance for co-op advertising?
Yes we do. Qualifying accounts are eligible for an allowance to offset expenditures related to a variety of marketing activity including catalogs, direct-mail advertising, newsletters, electronic advertising and telephone campaigns.
